Ikea futon sofa-bed "grinda" (designed by Leif Arling) , vintage sofa. The sofa consist of two mattresses, both enclosed whitin the sofa cover which allows them to fold on top of each other, creating the base of the sofa. The cushions are angled and they serve both as armrest and as backrest. The sofa does not have a rigid backrest which makes it impractical to place, for example, in the middle of a room. When laying back, the cushions (backrest) may shift or fall. It is quite necessary to place it directly onto a wall. However, It is possible to use some tipe of suitable rope or band/strap to hold the cushions in place as there are designated tissue loops sewn on the sofa (you may secure the cushion using a band that passes trough those loops). Both the cushions and the mattresses have a removable cover that is washable. The sofa is visibly used but not worn out. The fabric is in good conditions and shows no lacerations or tears. Some stains are visible on the surface. I am not aware of their nature as they were already present when i purchased the sofa from a previous owner. I personally washed the cover in a washing machine when i bought the sofa. The sofa does not have any unpleasant odors (cigarette smoke, mold, chemicals etc), It is just a bit dusty and it requires to be washed again and maybe brushed to remove some of the stubborn dusty residues and the stains. It is very lightweight and it's easy to carry and move around. I'm available to give further details and photos of the sofa.
