Figurina Numero 19 , originale del 1935, Edizione ECKSTEIN-HALPAUS • DRESDA.Gli inizi della NSDAP. Luglio 1919.

Trading card No. 19, original from 1935, ECKSTEIN-HALPAUS Edition (Dresden). The beginnings of the NSDAP. July 1919. In late June 1919, Adolf Hitler—serving as an "education officer"—was sent to the Sterneckerbräu beer hall in Munich, where Gottfried Feder was giving a lecture to the "German Workers' Party" (Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) in the so-called "Leiberzimmer." During the discussion, Hitler also spoke and was subsequently invited to join the party. He accepted in early July 1919, receiving membership card number 7. Our image shows the historic "Leiberzimmer," the place where the movement began. When purchasing a pack of cigarettes, one would receive a card; the idea was to collect all the cards and place them in an album (which could be bought at the time from a tobacconist for 1 RM).

This book does not explain how the brain works. That remains the most alluring and baffling of all questions on the frontier of understanding.
The occasion for the publication of this book is provided by the convergence of work in many fields that has begun to show us how to frame questions about the brain that yield accumulative answers. Knowledge about the brain, gathered at an accelerating rate in recent years, shows this organ to be marvelously designed and capacitated beyond the wonders with which it was invested by innocent imagination.
The plan of the book corresponds to the informal organization of the enterprise of brain research that engages talent and energy on many lines of attack and at many places around the world. To begin with, it is necessary to understand the nerve cell and the chemical physics of the nerve impulse.
Systems of no more than a few nerve cells in invertebrates present objects of study that are prospectively more comprehensible than the human brain and may serve as models of its subsystems. Neurosurgeons long ago began to map the localization of function on the cortex. The embryonic growth of the brain offers other clues to its anatomy and higher organization.
Lately, the identification of more than 30 different transmitter molecules that jump the impulse across the synapse between one nerve cell and the next has beggared the reductionist model of the brain as a mere switchboard.

THE BRAIN - A "Scientific American" Book (1979)

Giacca uomo Prada Luna Rossa in Goretex tg 52 ma veste anche 54. Modello SGV338. Made in Italy. Solo ritiro a mano a Sesto San Giovanni. Vedi sotto descrizione

In 1999 Prada began working with W. L. Gore to develop outerwear for their Prada Sport line, which aimed to produce athleisure garments with materials and shapes that assimilated the features of ‘technical mountain clothes’. The release of the ‘Prada Sport’ line coincided with the creation of the Luna Rossa Sailing team, which created a need for Prada to produce pieces that could handle a variety of conditions. This jacket is the first of its kind from Prada and served as the inspiration for several other jackets that the fashion house produced in later years (particularly the Luna Rossa Challenge jackets), some of which can be found on this page!

This particular jacket is the 2002 edition, constructed from a high quality Gore-Tex material which was developed specially for Prada, with taped seams. This material is smoother and more durable than the Gore-Tex jackets made by Prada in previous years. There are 4 pockets in total, 2 standard hand pockets on the exterior and 2 large Velcro-sealed stash pockets on the interior. The lightweight hood is designed to fall away with ease for quick access for the wearer. There are also adjustable neoprene cuffs for comfort and improved weatherproofing. The large Prada red tab on the chest and back completes one of the best and most iconic jackets Prada has ever produced.

• SWIMRUN S02 has larger pockets to more easily and securely carry things which can be useful during a Swimrun race or training. In order to maintain the low weight even when the wetsuit is wet, the pockets have holes which water can run through.• SWIMRUN S02 has a zipper both at the front and back to be able to change more easily. With the help of what we call optimal freedom buoyancy, where one can combine the wetsuit SWIMRUN S02 together with our Swimcalfs SC02, we want to regain the feeling of freedom where it all began surrounding the sport. Swimrun has grown into a sport with space for creativity when it comes to materials and accessories. During races, one usually sees Swimrun enthusiasts with ropes, paddles, pullbouys and various other aides where the focus is more which aides one has and how one can get from point A to B in the fastest and best manner. With the help of our SC02 Swimcalfs as well as our S02 wetsuit with extra surface power on the thighs, we hope to be able to again provide the feeling of freedom that existed when the sport was new.

Note grammaticali e storiche, spesso molto dettagliate.

Don't know why 1992 is printed on the back cover, though it could be because that's when development first began. There is another copy of this version that was uploaded back in 2020, though this is a more complete dump of that, including scans.

By the early 1980's with the help of his friend Andy Warhol, Basquiat began to make his emotionally charged aesthetically arresting Neo Expressionist paintings. In 1992 The Whitney Museum of American Art id a retrospective exhibition of the life works of this great American Contemporary artist and master of social commentary. His work focused on suggestive dichotomies such as wealth vs poverty integration vs segregation, and inner vs outer experience of the human condition. He appropriated poetry, drawing, painting, & married text and image with abstraction and figuration. Basquiat's works had strong social commentary and deeper truths about the individual and power structures of racism, and criticism of colonialism and support for class struggles.

Pablo O'Higgins's original lithograph, "The Maguey of Topilejo" is printed on a large sheet of smooth, wove paper and with full margins as published in New York in the limited edition of three hundred impressions in 1950. It is signed and dated In the stone by O'Higgins and also signed and titled in pencil along the lower margin. "The Maguey of Topilejo" is a fine, original example of lithographic art created by the American / Mexican artist, Pablo O'Higgins.

Note: Pablo O'Higgins: A great twentieth century American/Mexican painter and printmaker, Pablo O'Higgins studied at the school of Fine Arts in San Diego, California. It was not long before he became dissatisfied with the academic techniques employed by their art instructors and decided to move to Mexico where he began his permanent residence in Mexico City in 1924. O'Higgins also spent a year at the Academy of Art in Moscow on a Soviet Scholarship (1933). Once again, unimpressed with the instruction, most of his time was devoted to sketching Soviet workers at the railroad station.
O'Higgins first gained a close knowledge of modern Mexican art when he was appointed the primary assistant to the great master, Diego Rivera who became his friend and mentor. O'Higgins worked with Rivera for both his Chapingo and Ministry of Education projects. Due to political differences and O'Higgins' desire to create his own works, he left Rivera's tutelage when the Chapingo murals were completed.
One of the lengthiest associations (1934-1960) was his connection with the League of Revolutionary Writers and Artists or LEAR; an anti fascist organization that led to his par
