Il bootleg documenta uno dei concerti più importanti e affascinanti della storia dei Pink Floyd: il 20 febbraio 1972 al Rainbow Theatre di Londra (Finsbury Park).
Siamo in un momento di transizione cruciale per la band. Dopo Meddle (1971), i Pink Floyd stanno lavorando intensamente al materiale che diventerà The Dark Side of the Moon. Durante le quattro serate al Rainbow Theatre tra il 17 e il 20 febbraio 1972, la band presenta per la prima volta dal vivo molti dei brani che diventeranno iconici.

🌕 In questo concerto del 20 febbraio sentiamo:
- Versioni ancora in fase di sviluppo di pezzi come Breathe, Time e The Great Gig in the Sky (che all’epoca avevano titoli o arrangiamenti diversi).
- Classici del periodo precedente: A Saucerful of Secrets, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun.
- Momenti più liberi e improvvisati, tra cui richieste del pubblico (Audience Requests) e un brano blues.
- Come bonus c’è anche One of These Days registrato pochi giorni prima (17 febbraio) sempre al Rainbow.

Il titolo “Something to Change” probabilmente si riferisce proprio a quel periodo di grande cambiamento creativo della band, mentre stavano abbandonando il sound psichedelico degli anni ’60 per entrare nella fase più matura e concettuale degli anni ’70.

La copertina verde con il grande logo rosso “Trade Mark Wow! Quality!” è tipica dei bootleg europei degli inizi degli anni ’70: grafica grezza ma iconica, pensata per attirare l’attenzione tra i collezionisti dell’epoca.

Questa edizione su vinile giallo è limitata a sole 100 copie ed ha un valore speciale perché cattura i Pink Floyd in un momento di grande sperimentazione dal vivo, poco prima dell’uscita dell’album che li avrebbe resi leggenda mondiale.
