An outstanding small bookshelf speaker of hi-fi quality with a frequency range of 38 - 20000 Hz and less than 1% harmonic distortion. You will find these speakers regularly recommended on BeoWorld. They have the same height and width as the S35 speakers, but are 3 cm deeper and 1 kg heavier. This small difference in size, however, makes an immense difference in sound. The extra fill unit adds enormously to the all-important midrange sound and this is, according to many users, the best balanced bookshelf loudspeaker produced by B&O. What it lacks in bass, it makes up for in precision and tone. The optional floor stand is elegant and effective and worth seeking out. It may take a capacitor replacement to make an old pair of speakers sing, but it is very unlikely that you will be disappointed in purchasing a pair of these speakers. For those looking for more bass, the S75s are the big brother, but they lack the sonic purity of the S45.2. Linear phase sound reproduction.
