Questo album ORIGINALE, DISCO PERFETTO SENZA GRAFFI,  dei Pink Floyd fu pubblicato il 10 Ottobre 1970 per la Harvest Records EMI ed è il quinto album in studio della loro discografia . Fu registrato da Marzo ad Agosto 1970 negli Abbey Road Studios di Londra, ingegneri del suono Peter Bown e Alan Parsons, prodotto dagli stessi Pink Floyd e Norman Smith. Il disco contiene 5 tracce in tutto, apre il mitico strumentale "Atom Heart Mother" di ben 23 minuti e 45, praticamente apre e chiude il lato A del vinile. Questo brano composto da Mason, Gilmour, Waters, Wright, Geesin, era nato solo per quattro strumenti ma Ron Geesin che curava gli arrangiamenti, per renderlo più epico consigliò l'uso di una grande orchestra e così fu registrato. Nel lato B la mitica "If" di Waters, "Summer '68" di Wright, "Fat Old Sun" di Waters e infine lo strumentale "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" di Waters, Mason, Gilmour, Wright. Nella classifica di vendita italiana questo disco raggiunse il 5° posto nella settimana dell'uscita, in America e Inghilterra il 1°. La formazione dei Pink Floyd per questo album era: Richard Wright (tastiere, sintetizzatore, minimoog, piano elettrico e voce) - David Gilmour (chitarra, steel guitar, voce e cori) - Roger Waters (basso, chitarre, voce e cori) e Nick Mason (batteria e percussioni). Il Rock progressivo e psichedelico dei Pink Floyd in questo album fece conquistare loro 5 dischi d'oro solo in Italia. Un singolo 45 giri venne estratto da questo album: "Summer '68", uscì lo stesso giorno dell'album.  L'album è bellissimo e dovrebbe stare in tutte le raccolte di vinile di tutti gli appassionati di musica! Consigliato l'ascolto su vinile, come per tutti gli altri LP dei Pink Floyd, perchè l'ascolto è molto emozionante.

In 1971 Pink Floyd recorded the Meddle album, containing the LP side-long 'Echoes', regarded by many as laying the groundwork for The Dark Side Of The Moon, and, as such, is an important part of The Pink Floyd canon. This package includes part of the original demos, when the project gestated from Nothing to Return Of The Son Of Nothing, as well as a contemporary BBC session recording. Audio-visual material includes the original unreleased Quad mix of 'Echoes' but also material of live band performances in 1971, including songs performed with Roland Petit and his Marseille ballet company.
