Figurina Numero 125, originale del 1935, Edizione ECKSTEIN-HALPAUS • DRESDA . OPEL RAK.2 . Un'auto a propulsione a razzo sfreccia sull'Avus. Maggio 1928.

Trading card number 125, an original from 1935, ECKSTEIN-HALPAUS Edition (Dresden). OPEL RAK.2: A rocket-propelled car speeding along the Avus track, May 1928. German engineers were constantly devising new propulsion systems to increase vehicle speed. Experiments with unmanned rocket aircraft designed for stratospheric flight gave rise to the idea of running rocket-powered automobiles as well. Our image shows the rocket car, which was unveiled to the public for the first time on May 23, 1928. When purchasing a pack of cigarettes, one would receive a card; the goal was to collect the full set and place them in an album (which could be bought at the time from a tobacconist for 1 RM). This was a familiar phenomenon, and collecting these cards was a favorite pastime of the era. Item condition as shown in the photos.

libro "Bleachers" di John Grisham
testo in lingua inglese
Arrow books.
Libro in perfette condizioni, mai sfogliato, pari al nuovo.
Le pagine sono velate da tonalità avorio.

Neely Crenshaw was the best quarterback ever to play for the Messina Spartans, the state's most legendary high school football team. But fifteen years later, with the glory days far behind them, the man everyone remembers is Coach Eddie Rake.
Neely is coming home to Messina to bury the dying Coach Rake, and he's not alone. One by one, the veterans of the Spartans return to pay tribute to the man who moulded them into an invincible football dynasty, confronting their own broken dreams.
As Coach Rake's 'boys' sit in the bleachers waiting for the dimming field lights to signal his passing, they replay the old glories, and try to decide once and for all whether they love Eddie Rake – or hate him.
For Neely Crenshaw, still struggling to come to terms with his explosive relationship with the Coach, his dreams of a great career in the NFL, and the choices he made as a young man, the stakes could not be higher.
