Causa insistente disapprovazione coniuge (sich!) dovuto ad ingombri, estetica e calore generato, vendo a malincuore coppia di finali mono Atmasphere M-60. Acquistati nuovi dall'importatore francese "Bellemusique" con pochissime ore di  ascolto lavorando io fuori regione. Gli apparecchi sono stati upgradati con valvole di segnale 6SN7 NOS della General electrics matchate (costo 400 $). All options included (V-Cap® Copper Foil Teflon Coupling Caps: ($890) Upgrades coupling capacitors for higher resolution and transparency. Power Supply Boost: ($720) Increases power supply capacity, improving bass authority and dynamics.
Caddock® Resistor Package: ($2340) Replaces signal path resistors with high-precision Caddock resistors for lower noise floor).  Data delicatezza degli oggetti preferisco ritiro da me dove si possono anche ascoltare prima. Trattandosi di oggetti praticamente nuovi il prezzo è poco trattabile. Completi di imballi originali e manuale.

The Most Important Preamplifier In the World: The Dynaco PAS

Introduction:
The venerable Dynaco PAS is perhaps the most famous stereo preamplifier of all time, Much like the Dynaco ST-70, it introduced the magical sound of tubes to thousands of audiophiles throughout the past decades. The PAS is still a popular model, both in stock form or as a platform to be tweaked and modified. In this article, I will touch on a general outline of the circuit, the sonics strengths and weaknesses, some of the more popular modifications, and an idea of what to look for when rolling tubes.

The Circuit:
So what is a Dynaco PAS? There are three iterations. The PAS-2, the earliest stereo version, with circuitry taken from the PAM-1 mono unit and a gold faceplate with brown knobs. The PAS-3, with a more modern silver faceplate with matching knobs. And finally, the PAS-3X with improved tone controls. This is a full-function preamplifier with tone controls and inputs for phono, reel-to-reel, tuner, and others. Gain, of course, is higher than modern preamplifiers since this was the days before high output CD players.

All PAS preamplifiers share the same circuit: For the phono stage, one 12AX7 per channel, each section in series, using loop negative feedback connected to a capactior and resistor network to provide the RIAA equalization. For the linestage, a 12AX7 per channel, each section in series, utilizing loop feedback to lower distortion and provide a low enough output impedance to drive cables into a high impedance input of an amplifier. Power supply rectification is handled by a 12X4 tube. Filaments for the 12AX7s come from a voltage-doubler circuit, which - as the namesake suggests - doubles the supplied AC voltage from the transformer and smooths it out to DC. Having DC on the filaments also helps to reduce hum.

Versione made in Russia di una piccola batch con gli oscillatori più estremi, da leggere sul sito Soma FAQ:

"We got a small batch of ICs ( used in the voices oscillators) with unique properties that allow getting a very big range of tune on each voice, so even on the lower voices you can get very high notes and get infrasound on the higher voices. Also, with these ICs the FM is more deep, bright and crazy. But as a drawback, some voices (randomly from unit to unit) can have a kind of sub harsh noise (enharmonic oscillations) that appear only in high PITCH pots rate and are totally masked by the delay or chord playing. We decided to make a batch of LYRAs using these ICs because the benefits from these unique properties are much more than the drawbacks. If you would like to remove the harsh noises, set the pitch knobs from 50 to 70 percents and you will find a range of it where the harsh noises will be absent from all of the oscillators."

Il ROOM MATE è il pedale riverbero dal suono più dolce che tu abbia mai sentito. Questo perché i quattro preset di riverbero per chitarra sono soltanto l’inizio del suono, ricco e caldo prodotto da questo pedale. Infatti l’alimentatore interno da 300 volts alimenta una valvola T-Rex che aumenta il volume, il calore e i dettagli del suono. La manopola MODE del ROOM MATE offre la selezione di quattro presets: il “Classic Plate” (riverbero Vintage), il “Warm Hall” (suono più grosso e naturalmente caldo), il “Bright Hall” (superba definizione degli acuti per evidenziare i dettagli) e il “Chorus With Warm Reverb” (effetto dal suono dolce). 
Per modellare ulteriormente il suono, il ROOM MATE dispone del controllo MIX e di una manopola per il taglio degli acuti per regolare la definizione delle alte frequenze.

Questo arco è realizzato totalmente a mano da un unico pezzo di legno stagionato di “ Orange Osage “ proveniente dal nord America.
Si consiglia di conservare l’arco per lunghi periodi in ambienti a temperatura non inferiore ai 15° e non superiore ai 25° gradi centigradi.
Si consiglia di scaldare il legno dell’arco prima dell’uso strofinandolo con energia con le mani in modo da rendere elastiche le fibre del legno stesso, oltre a trattare il legno periodicamente ( una volta al mese) con cere per mobili a base di Cera d’api per ottenere la migliore elasticità delle fibre.
